A WELCOMING COFFEE SHOP THAT TICKS ALL THE RIGHT BOXES
Visited on the 13 December
Craving Coffee is a coffee shop set alongside a row of industrial units a short walk from Seven Sisters tube station, a licensed cafe that transforms into a bar and events space in the evenings. Initially operating locally as a coffee cart, in September 2014 they partnered with The Mill Co to bring great coffee, food and art space to Tottenham.
We visited on a drizzly Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a bustling cafe with clear signage at the front telling you to wait to be seated. Craving Coffee sits at the front of The Mill Co, with their studios located down a corridor at the back. The coffee shop is well lit, with large windows dominating the front and simple decor throughout. The white tiled bar runs along the right side of the shop, with a glass display cabinet containing their locally sourced pastries and their La Marzocco GB5 two group coffee machine perched at the end.
Once seated we ordered a flat white and Chorizo Hash each, both of which were quick to arrive and delicious. We chose to try their guest espresso; a washed Colombian Finca La Joyeria Espresso from Pact Coffee, a well rounded flat white with hints of chocolate. Craving Coffee are the first to take part in Pact Coffee’s partnership program that aims to support small independent coffee shops and will be serving their coffee as the guest espresso between 7th-21st December.
An unassuming coffee shop that is an asset to Tottenham, Craving Coffee ticks all the right boxes as a welcoming cafe serving great food and good quality coffee.
